Additionally, by placing the memory foam in the middle of the mattress the Casper is able to have good support and pressure relief, but also reduce any heat retention issues that could otherwise arise from the memory foam (memory foams have a tendency to sleep hotter than other foams).
Be very careful when moving the Casper though. While the white fabric on top is great for cooling, it’s not great for durability. Last time I was moving the mattress my Casper’s cover got caught on a small obstruction and pulled several threads out. The grey piece of fabric that runs along the permitted is much sturdier though, which does help to reinforce the edges against possible damage there.
It's one reason why mattress startup Casper sells just one model in all six standard sizes—to help simplify the buying experience. Prices range from $550 for a twin up to $1,150 for a king size.
